Rob Swisher's Page

Welcome to my web page.  Hopefully it will serve as an online source for many items collectors are seeking. I started buying and selling to help my collection and to be self-supporting in 1985. I've been a licensed dealer and a licensed collector. I've also been involved with NFA items and was lucky enough to spend a few years working with a former manufacturer in his machine shop. That really sparked my interest in BMG's and their accessories.

I have been selling on eBay since the beginning of 1999 under the name rswi65.  I also have run ads on a few different web sites under amish-bob and Rob S. in PA. In 2007 I decided to move to the internet. This will allow me the opportunity to offer the same hard to find items over the World Wide Web and meet new collectors.  I work out of my home and prefer to communicate by email. Once a sale is finalized I will email you my mailing address, phone number, etc.  I can accept payments in the form of Postal Money Orders, checks (with a 2 week holding period).  Any money order other than a Postal Money Order will be treated the same as a personal check and subject to the same 2 week holding period. This is due to the way my bank handles them. Pennsylvania residents must add 6% state sales tax.

As items are added to this page, they will be placed near other similar items. To find the new additions it is best to go down the entire page item by item.  Rob

I have an arrangement with Bill Ricca to use this page.  All items here are independent of Bill's site. All offerings are mine and are not combinable with Bill's offerings to make up his minimum orders.  Thanks, and I hope you enjoy looking. Rob Swisher.

M1917/A1 Wood Ammo Chest Replacement Leather Handle. This is a new made quality reproduction. I used an original as a pattern to have these made to replace those worn out, dry rotted or missing handles. This is a must have if you're restoring those old ammo boxes. $10.00ea. Shipped (Quantity discount and Dealer inquiries are welcomed) PHOTO

1917A1 Tripod Leg Strap, Reproduction. These are copied exactly from my original.  Some GI straps that are available are sold as original, with two keeper loops. They have one on the top side and one on the under side of the strap near the buckle. The double loop strap's original application was a patient restraint used on WWII Litters. It was a Medical Corps item.  The only difference between mine and an original strap for the tripod leg is I used a brass buckle; the original is parkerized steel. $20.00 plus shipping.  PHOTO

Browning 1919A4/A6/M37 starting tabs for links. Each allows a new belt of links to be loaded without lifting the feed cover. Very Good Condition $3.00 each plus shipping. PHOTO

US GI Browning 1919A6 bipod yoke/legs assembly. This is an original yoke and legs but with new repro wing bolts and keys. This unit was re-parkerized $400.00 plus shipping. Very scarce, not an imported foreign version. PHOTO

US GI M1918 Cloth Belt Loader Needle Set, this set includes both the upper and lower needles for the belt loader. Serviceable needles are needed to properly spread the belt loops for insertion of the cartridge. This is truly a must have spare part for your cloth belt loader. These are new in their original package. You will receive one set  (2 triple needles as pictured). Each loader should have at least one set of spare needles.  Bent, broken or worn needles quickly convert the loader to an expensive useless paperweight. SOLD OUT     PHOTO

Browning Machine Gun Oil Can, with Brass Oil Spout and chain. US GI, New Old Stock (NOS)  Condition. $10.00 plus shipping. PHOTO

US GI M1 Garand Bolt, Field Test, used for checking headspace on used barrels, receivers, and bolts. Has some use, but very good condition $125.00 plus shipping. PHOTO

Here's something I had made. This is a cutaway stock for an M1 Garand. This includes the ferrule, butt plate, swivels and screws. The metal has been re-parkerized and the stock was refinished with Chestnut Ridge stain. The cut edges are painted red. When your M1 is on a rack on display, this stock will make it more interesting to look at by allowing you to see the inner workings. I had one on my desk in a horizontal rack and it was an attention getter. This is based on a US GI stock. This stock started out as "miscellaneous Asian wood". There was nothing special about it. Now it is something that draws attention. $75.00 plus shipping. PHOTO

Thong Assembly, also known as a "Pull Through".  This is the World War 1 Brass variant. Proper for use with the M1903 and M1917 rifles.  These were also in use during WW2 with the M1903A3 and M1 rifles. Only 2 available $8.00 each plus shipping.  PHOTO

Thong Assembly, also known as a "Pull Through".  This is the World War II steel variant with blued finish. Either blued or Parkerized finish is correct for any WWII rifle as it was merely a manufacturer’s option. (The Springfield 1903 Rifles, page 391, by Bill Brophy.) Proper for use with M1903, M1903A3, M1903A4, M1917, and M1 rifles.  Each is still rolled in the original manufacturer's configuration. $5.00 each plus shipping. PHOTO

WW2 Era packs of patches for US .30 cal weapons. I had these awhile back and sold out. It's only recently that I was lucky enough to find a small quantity again. $4.00 per pack plus shipping. PHOTO

Colt 1911 T-shaped combination tool manufactured by Stanley at the end of WW1 (according to Clawson), these unique and rare tools are case hardened rather than blued. They feature 2 different size screwdriver tips as well as a pin punch to totally disassemble a 1911 .45 pistol. The M1912 squad cleaning kit would hold 10 of these tools. These tools are seldom encountered today and I feel very lucky to be able to offer a few for sale.  $25.00 each plus shipping. Don't miss out!  PHOTO

US GI Springfield Armory WWII replacement barrel for Model 1911 and 1911A1 pistols. This is marked s P on the left side of the lug. The condition is likely NOS with excellent original blue finish. $125.00 plus shipping. PHOTO

M1912 Squad cleaning kit parts can for the M1911 and M1911A1 pistols. It is configured like the WW1 brass cans with a pronounced rolled lip on the lid but it is made of galvanized metal. This version is very scarce. (I have heard this variation referred to as the zinc can). I have just a few of these available. It's an interesting variation that every serious cleaning kit collector should have. These are in NOS condition $20.00 each plus shipping. PHOTO

Original US GI Carbine Oilers produced by International Silver, Marked IS in a circle, New, Old Stock, never used. PHOTO $20.00 each plus shipping.

US GI WW2 M1 carbine oiler marked IU, International Silver for Underwood. This is a well used example but it is original. Only one available. $20.00 plus shipping. PHOTO

US GI Original M1 & M1A1 Carbine Oilers marked BK (BLAKE MFG CORP).  Blake Manufacturing had a WWII contract from November 1943 through September 1944,  CONTRACT INFO  Used, good condition $10.00 each plus shipping.

Thong, Carbine, M1 & M1A1. This contract of Thongs was different than all other Thong production during WWII.  All contracts were marked B03 for the 1903 series of rifles, which was the initial nomenclature. However, early in 1943 these were contracted by Farnum-Coleman for issue with Carbines. The M8 Cleaning Rod, which was still under development, would not be available until late 1943.  This is the only known contract for Thongs which were marked for use with the Carbine. Not many were produced. A great Collectors Item for M1 Carbine Collectors. Pack of Ten $45.00  PHOTO

US GI Operator and Spare Parts Kit (OSP&E) for M1Carbine. These were packed, according to the date on the outside of the box, 1958. This kit has the split Federal Stock Number which was a characteristic of Rock Island Arsenal.

Each kit includes 6 NIW (red cellophane in the kits that I've seen opened so far) 15 round magazines, 6 magazine rubber covers, M8 Jointed Cleaning Rod, with Carrying Case. It also contains a Lubriplate 130-A grease pot from WWII and a bore brush. I have 2 left. One is open and the other is still closed with duct tape. PHOTO  A strange this about this kit is that during production a few were mis-marked with M1 Rifle designations. PHOTO  $150.00 plus shipping and insurance.

US GI WW2 canvas muzzle covers (sometimes called snoopys) for Garands and Carbines, these are NOS and manufactured by and marked E. A. BROWN MFG. CO. 1944. These fit on all types of US weapons including the Springfield 03 and 03A3, BAR, Thompson and I even managed to get one on my Trench Gun. The condition is NOS but they do show some corrosion on some of the metal parts (the snaps). I have these in limited quantities. This stuff is just getting harder to find. Beware of repros out there....these are ORIGINALS! $10.00 each plus shipping. PHOTO

US GI WW2 canvas muzzle covers, these are like the other ones but without the corrosion on the snaps. These are marked CHAMPION CANVAS SUPPLIES 1944. NOS condition in khaki. $10.00 each plus shipping. PHOTO

One of those is marked FRANKFORD ARSENAL S.H. 1905. Everything else is unmarked $60.00 plus shipping for everything in the picture. PHOTO
